When Kenny G’s “version” of ‘What A wonderful World’ came out I was so angry, not only because the song is a personal favorite and his instrumentation is so intrusive and grating, but because it’s obvious that the guy is making a mint for basically masturbating over a classic and marketing it as a re-envisioned interpretation. Pat Metheny brilliantly eviscerates the guy and it is more than deserved.
